In this release from E#, the composer and multi-instrumentalist presents incidental music from recent film projects. Though "incidental" when employed in the service of the film or drama, these pieces are complete on their own and easily enter the "foreground" for concentrated listening. The music ranges from otherworldly electronic pop songs to sitar-driven metal, faux medieval chants to processed guitar noise, French chanson to industrial twang-noir. Here are some highlights:

Leading off are unusual songs from Toni Dove's multimedia work Lucid Possession sung by Hai-Ting Chinn and Bora Yoon. The opener, Send Us A Message, features Hai-Ting's crystalline soprano over a lattice of Sharp's unique and lush guitar sounds. Avatar Star shows off the power and beauty of Bora Yoon's voice over a hard metal track with electric sitar. Viscus Non Exurum is a medieval chant sung in 'fake' Latin by a double-tracked Hai-Ting. Tracks from Michael Benson's sprawling sci-fi semi-documentary film More Places Forever include the ominous twang-noir Desert Drive and the ambient dub of Dances With Swine with Lance Carter on drums. Next, there is a dark and meditative piece performed on electro-acoustic guitar processed with electronics for visionary filmmaker/choreographer Jo Andres' short film Trinity. Finally, there are atmospheric instrumentals written for Chilean director Daniela Clemente's emotional and uplifting new film, A Light High.
